There's always a twist

Alright ladies, gents, and non-binary persons, we all know that plot twists advance a book and make things more interesting. Well, the latest plot twist I've encountered has been in my own book. No, you won't recognize it when you read it because it's not in the storyline. The plot twist is with the actual writing . My characters have decided to entirely derail my carefully planned story outline. What jerks. This has been an issue I've been dealing with mildly for the last two chapters but it has spun completely out of control in Chapter 12. Yes, I didn't update about chapter 11 because I was too busy riding the roller coaster they have sent me on. Now here I sit amid the ruins of my carefully crafted plot trying to drag the train back to the tracks piece by piece. Wish me luck!
